Good eye health is much more than just looking at an eye chart. Dr. Weaver uses state-of the-art-technology to provide comprehensive eye examinations which include the following:
*** A thorough visual and medical history review.
*** Testing of eye motility, eye alignment, depth perception, color vision, and focusing. This is especially important for children because 80% of learning depends on visual skills.
*** Refraction and the determination of the appropriate prescription.
*** Measurement of the intraocular pressures as well as other glaucoma testing.
*** Careful evaluation of the eyes through a microscope to detect any subtle eye health problems.
*** Dilated examination of the retina and surrounding tissues, which allow us to detect early signs of many serious health problems.
*** Education about visual problems and discussing treatment options and preventive measures.

At Belton Eye Care Center we believe that wearing glasses should be an extension of your personality and your lifestyle. Our knowledgeable staff will recommend the appropriate frame and lens design to best meet your individual visual needs.
We offer complete contact lens care, including fitting, prescription, and evaluation of all major brands of soft and gas permeable contact lenses, as well as specialized contact lenses. We thoroughly educate our patients in the proper handling & care techniques to maintain ocular health as well as long-term wearing comfort.
If you are interested in laser surgery, Dr. Weaver will evaluate whether you are a good candidate. Dr. Weaver will perform the pre-surgery evaluation and referral to surgeons as well as post-operative care. We educate our patients about laser surgery, potential risk and side effects and possible visual outcome to assure that the surgical results meet your expectations.
Dr. Weaver is fully licensed and trained to diagnose and treat many types of eye diseases such as pink eye, styes, corneal abrasion, dry eyes, iritis, and glaucoma. Eye health emergencies could include a foreign substance or object in the eye or a sudden change in vision. Dr. Weaver works closely with area specialists to provide expedient entry to other professionals as needed. We encourage questions from patients about their eye or vision problems and explain all treatment options as well as preventive measures to maintain optimal eye health.
