Dr. Richard C. Weaver

The community and individual health and vision needs have been Dr. Weaver’s priority since his graduation from The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 1978. Dr. Weaver began practice in Austin and made the move to Bell County in 1986.

Dr. Weaver has served on various community organization boards in his twenty plus years in Belton and in 2006 received the Melvin Jones Award from Lion’s Club International for humanitarian services to his community. Dr. Weaver is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Texas Optometric Association.

Outside the office, Dr. Weaver enjoys family activities, church activities, golf, and crossword puzzles.

Dr. Michael J. Reyes

Dr. Reyes' motto: "Patients don't care how much you know until they know how much you care."

Born and raised in San Antonio, Dr. Reyes received his Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University in 1998 and obtained his optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2004. Prior to joining Belton Eye Care Center in July 2010, Dr. Reyes served active duty in the U.S. Air Force from 2004-2007 and then worked in The Woodlands, Plano, and San Antonio before finally making his home in Belton.

Dr. Reyes holds the rank of Major in the U.S. Air Force Reserves where he serves as Chief of Optometry for the 301st Medical Squadron, NAS Ft. Worth JRB, Carswell Field, Texas. Dr. Reyes is a member of the Armed Forces Optometric Society, Texas Optometric Association and American Optometric Association. He is very involved in the Belton community, serving in the Belton Lions Club, Belton Young Professionals, and as an avid church volunteer.

When not caring for your health, Dr. Reyes enjoys spending time with his wife, two children, extended family, friends and church community. He also enjoys physical fitness, sports, and is quite the "techy."

Paula, Doctor's Assistant

Paula has a detail oriented approach that enables her to do problem solving at the beginning of your comprehensive medical examination. Paula will perform preliminary testing and information gathering that will provide keys to a complete picture of your health.

Betty, Business Office Coordinator

Jennifer brings fifteen years of contact lens experience to train and inform each patient on appropriate lens wear. David, Lab Manager

David dispenses the completed eyewear to you after first completing a rigorous quality check on each order. David’s mechanical bent is put to use to oversee the making of your eyewear lenses by coordinating production in our in-house lab and production at outside labs for specialty lenses. Sheila, Practice Manager

Managing Belton Eye Care Center requires Sheila to step into each role at different times. She may assist you in the front office, in the optical, or, research questions that you present. Sheila works closely with Dr. Weaver and Dr. Reyes to provide medical services to the families in the community in which they live.
